When you boil them the purple skin becomes a normal brown colour.

Oh well, i don't think they will catch on. Folk here expect normal coloured foods. Even brown eggs above white eggs??? they are the same??? Yet in the USA they prefer white eggs? It all comes down to what we are used too i reckon.

Carrots all used to be purple.  Fashions change. 

My son got quite narked with me for buying brown eggs, t'other day! 

Tried purple cauliflower once, tasted the same and I have gone back to the white ones 

there are purple pea pods, though the peas themselves are the normal colour
