OK. Found you. This is not a thread starter.

a) Gadaffii's assets have already been frozen by the international responses a week or so ago. This money may be used to implement humanitarian responses in the near future I like to think.

b) The Arab League did not ask for our help. They endorsed the mandate that was proposed by the UN. They did ask for a response from the UN and it was 'our' duty, as you put it, to address the issue.

c) Would you please just learn how to spell Libya when it's already been pointed out?

I kept reading Labia

Anyhoo, to address the question of the thread. Why only Africa may I ask? Yes I know its Red Nose Day and Africa is strongly highlighted as a country in need, but what about charities that also need attention in the UK?

To be fair, I think Britain has already done quite well out of Libyian money.

OK Jonesy.

If its too difficult for you, how about shortening it to Xochi, which has fewer letters than yours? Most others have managed that here, and for some its shortened to Pam!

Exactly Karms! Were it not for Blair and his pandering to Gaddafi, this may have not ended up as we are 10 or so years later.

Edit to say: Opps. Meant that last comment for Blousey.

It was Blizzie who said the bit about the UK doing well But I was just wondering why it was thought that any money should automatically go to Africa, but alas, I got asked about my sexual mindset
