Yes, he took his own life. All that needs to be determined is whether it was deliberate.......or a tragic accident.

Oh dear: that's so sad.

I'd heard about his death but was only paying lip service to the details, and I just assumed - given his age - that it was due to natural causes...

How sad I thought I had read  he had cancer ....but obviously I was wrong RIP

Can anyone recommend 2 or 3 songs to listen to on YouTube that would be representative of ELP. I'm not familiar with their work, but thought it might be interesting to hear some.

This is probably the one they're most known for 

Cheers Sprout, I am aware of that piece of music as they play that when I enter the office of a morning.

Have to admit that i'm not the biggest fan of either The Nice or ELP. However, i am a fan of some of the artists that influenced him - such as Brother Jack McDuff.

RIP Keith Emerson
