Oh my-where do I start.....
Over 4,000 LP's and half a terrabyte of MP3 files!.
Prog: Mainly Dutch. (Focus, Trace, Brainbox, Ekseption, Kayak,) etc etc - English - (ELP, Ten Years After, Van Der Graaf Generator.)
Massive Golden Earring fan-over 30 albums.
Then also late 70's/early 80's punk/hardcore,metal/rock,right through to thrash metal.
Very varied and I go through phases.
I will get a song by a particular band in my head and will then play everything by them from start to finish.
Then that band may not see the light of day for another year.So it always changes.
Todays band was The Dickies!
Favourite band of all time - Generation X (Billy Idol)

I didn't know that ELO was Prog Rock. I like
ELO. The second album I ever bought was Time
by ELO and it blew me away, like a cartoon
for the ears and I even like ELO when they
were "The Move", "Blackberry Way" is one of my favourite songs.

Sky is the only band that I like that fits the
description prog rock although they're more Classical Rock. I have Sky and Sky 2
and listening to Cannonball and Westway always
takes me back to the late 70's/early 80's when Sky's music was constantly used in TV programmes.

I've tried listening to proper Prog Rock like
Frank Zappa and Van der Graaf Generator but I can't stomach too much of it, I prefer something with a tune. The only thing more
unbearable than Prog Rock is The Grateful Dead.

Just felt I should leave a "tip" for anyone who likes Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.
If you have not heard anything by the German band "Triumvirat" then you will love them.
They were huge ELP fans and their music is almost identical.
Best two albums are "Illusions On A Double Dimple" and "Spartacus" - the rest are good but not AS good.
Well worth a bid for a couple of quid on Ebay - I promise you you will not be disappointed.

Meat Loaf fi8nished a gig in Newcastle unable to sing becuase of a cyst on his vocal chords but has an album coming out in April 2010 He also has this problem

Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW) is a syndrome of pre-excitation of the ventricles of the heart due to an accessory pathway known as the bundle of Kent. This accessory pathway is an abnormal electrical communication from the atria to the ventricles.

The incidence of WPW syndrome is between 0.9 and 3% of the general population.[1][2][3]

While the vast majority of individuals with a bundle of Kent remain asymptomatic throughout their entire lives, there is a risk of sudden death associated with the syndrome. Sudden death due to WPW syndrome is rare (incidence of less than 0.6%[3][4]), and is due to the effect of the accessory pathway on tachyarrhythmias in these individuals.
