I like that Doktor Power eraser!!     I use it for cleaning the ceramic hob!

and the Doktor Power that comes in a tub is even better for loads & loads of stuff.

Stuff that doesn't work:

Wilkinson Sword blades  (gotta be Gillette)

Igloo Ulcer Stuff

Sudocream for Nappy rash (awaits objections from Sudocream lovers...   its a marmite product)

Tesco value - dishwasher tablets, tumble drier sheets, kitchen roll, cotton buds (I swear... there is that little cotton on the end you might as well just lob a pointy stick in your ear/eye), & tesco own brand applicator tampons!

ok  "sudocrem"

& its crap for nappy rash!   its a gunky barrier cream!

(this is a debate I have had before on here...    maybe its different from different kids, but Sudocrem did nothing to prevent or treat nappy rash on either of my kids.   I used a cream called Napisan which rubbed in i.e. was not a "barrier" cream, which was fab)

But how does the moisture get through to the nappy with the cream in the way. I always found it better to use no cream whatsoever and thee was no way on earth I would ever let any johnsons product near my kids...that it really harsh! Sparkles, I think I've tried that one among others to clean the arms if my cream settee....all the ones I've used are shit!

True...I've not found one yet that works properly.

There's probably something in the very small print (that you need a magnifying glass to see) that you forgot to do or did in the wrong order.

I think the only thing really is to get a professional cleaner in to do it....

Yes but Fairy Liquid is a dishwashing product ...........it's never claimed to clean carpets. Many, many years ago I discovered that this was really the worst ever product to use for cleaning carpets - it's sticky - every single speck of dirt or dust sticks to the spot for ever after.

LOL you are probably right EFFT!  And Sazbomb, I have also never found a carpet cleaner to work REALLY well    But the Vanish bar of soap works, but I do really rub in over it good and proper...  this thing was shit though.

Do they still sell T cut? That's what my family of car tinkerers used.

I think so Veggie.  T Cut ought be renamed Paint Stripper-lite, in my experience!
