I use GOSH liquid eyeliner- its so waterproof it says on in the shower (perfectly), and the brush is nice and thin so quite easy to apply. My best trick is cotton buds as well..a tiny mistake cleared up without having to redo the entire eye.
And I had a mascara from Clinque, that was amazing, no clumps, and really made my lashes look longer.

I would like a suggestion of a good (but cheap) liquid eyeliner and any tips for those of us with wobbly hands (aside getting daughter to do it for me)
I use a cheap black liquid eyeliner, the rimmel one i think. My only tip would be to practice practice practice and you will get it, shaky hand or not. I would also recommend that you use one with a proper brush, not one of those hard felt tip type ones as those are far less forgiving and actually harder to apply as you need to be spot on. the brush lets you bend round etc while still keeping on the same line. Lastly remember not to flick 'up' at the end but to draw a straight line continuing out from your eye when its shut. then when you open it it will be a flick up! im an eyeliner queen

Its only available in superdrug I think.
It is a really good brand though if you want long stay make up.

And use a pencil eyeliner first, its easier to smudge into a straight line and gives a good outline to use helps the liquid stay put too.

Put on... jump in shower and it stays on!!
3 mins instead of 5 and you are all done...and it's gentle!
I'm a Redken gal.. so I'm a little prejudice.
But if you want a good clarifying shampoo (and if you live in bliddy London it is a must to get the tube gunk out of your hair) then this is a gem. It removes product build up and/or gunk and grime without making your hair feel like it is stripped of all goodness.
A cheaper alternative is Trevor Sorbie's 'Detox' shampoo but I've not seen that in the shops for an age.

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced mascara that doesn't go gloopy when you put it on!!!!
I'd like a mascara that doesn't give me panda eyes (I don't mean the morning after - I mean when I'm wearing it!)

My clinque one is brown (but obv not reasonably priced ) but my black mascara is Barry M...its really good for not smudging unless you are proper rubbing your eyes.
My main tip would be to make sure the skin around your eyes is oil free too, I know my mum makes the mistake of using all these product on her eyes, but by the time she applies make up it just slips off. I always blot around my eyes before applying anything after moisturiser.
Mascara - YSL Luxurious Mascara
Primer - Lancome Cils Booster XL

I'm a fan of the Soap and Glory Righteous body butter.
I get most of my stuff from Avon. At the moment I'm using Colour Trend plump out mascara. I also love Benefit stuff.
I've just started using Boots no 7 Protect and Perfect Intense serum. It seems to be working (no wrinkles yet)

Prevention is better than cure
I have always used Johnsons baby lotion to clean my make up off at night (and clean before make up in the morning). L'oreal night and day face creams are lush and give you a nice glow (the day cream gives a nice base for your foundation aswell)
Chanel liquid eyeliner is the best I've tried, but I use Rimmel normally.
Boots do ace exfoliating mitts for a couple of quid.
I'm using L'oreal false lash effect mascara and I like it
I've recently started using mineral foundation (maybelline) and it's a lot lighter than traditional foundations.
Hair, have aways used Pantene and now a fan of Ice Shine. Use Toni & Guy Label M products (conditioning spray, root booster stuff and spray shine)

That's had some really good reviews too...proper 12 month long testing.
Oh, and love Palmers Cocoa Butter (it's got to be Palmers!)

Nivea be young tinted facial moisturiser is a fav' of mine too...even though I ain't that young anymore!
Too old for heavy foundation now...it just sits in my 'laughter lines' and the powder mineral stuff I've tried just seems way too heavy and glittery.....as is a lot of face stuff that is classed as 'highlighting' when I used them.
I do have freckles though so if I try to cover them completely for a flawless finish..... I look like I've used a whole tub of mineral powder at a time.

Cheers Trix - I do have really dry skin and I use loads of moisturiser. I do try to avoid the eye area though, but I think I mustn't blot it properly. Will pay more attention!
May I mention Lush American Cream conditioner?
