Ditty...does hubby tell people thats what he does... I can hear it now "so what do you do then mr Ditty?" Mr Ditty in very best anorak voice "Well, I travel the country bye-ways putting up arrows"
Croc... I dread people going anywhere near his job in conversation....  cos out come the maps.... he is boring the backside off daughter & me.

We went round my bessie mates for the evening recently.   HE TOOK HIS CLIPBOARD & MAPS!!!  Cringe!!!

He will state his official job title "I am a Public Rights of Way Officer for the County Council.."... and when they then start to bring up a problem with parking or something he then quickly adds "oh no, I deal strictly with footpaths & bridleways"!

I know its good he loves it.   I would be a lot unhappier if he didn't.   But his old job was a lot sexier!

I quite fancy the idea of having chickens.. .one day.   A house round the corner has a few...  they are obviously some kind of pure breed... they have fluffy feet!  Oh, and they have a cockerel with them too (which would make me worry about finding a beak in my yoke)
I would love some of the ones that have fluffy feet - I have a book which is unfortunately up two floors at the moment with the most beautiful chicken in and that one has fluffy feet.  I considered getting some Pekins, which are the bantams which have fluffy feet but they aren't good layers and the eggs they do lay are very small.

I googled Pekin Bantams.... they could well be those.   I discovered breed doesn't dictate colour... so had to look for a while til I found any goldeny gingery ones.   My neighbours are beautiful birds... obviously in pristine condition.

I will try and take a stealth photo when I walk the dog!

Medium sized with fluffy feet tend to be cochins and the huge ones that look like feather balls with fluffy feet tend to be orpingtons  The ones that I love are partridge cochins (after a bit of googling myself lol).  From your description you need to google buff whatever-breed

Croc offline 5711 Forum Posts Today at 03:34 (Edited: ) Does Tibbs sleep like that?
only really on that floor, and it's too cold for him to sleep there now, he either sleeps on the settee or the carpet, he has a bed but wont go near it lol.
mostly he is just curled up but he likes to lie on his back with his feet curled in alot we call him a tart when he does that.

my heart skipped a beat today when a neighbour knocked on the door to ask if our cat was about as she had found a tabby cat dead in the alleyway near her house i went to check where he was then he tripped me over to feed him dunno who the other tabby belonged to though
