What do you reach for on Boxing Day (food wise)?
Me, bacon, eggs and beans on toast. Also I am craving a salad, but won't leave the house until tomorrow (27th).

Nigel Slater dresses leftover turkey up with a sweet-and-sour marinade and a zingy citrus salad.
Ingredients
<dl id="stages"><dd>4-6 good handfuls leftover roast turkey meat
3 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
a tablespoon chilli sauce
a tablespoon tomato ketchup
a tablespoon grain mustard
225-250ml/8-9fl oz turkey stock
a little vegetable oil
2 oranges
4 handfuls watercress
Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
Strip the cooked meat from the turkey, keeping the pieces as large as you can. They will stay juicier that way.
Peel and crush the garlic and put it in a mixing bowl. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, chilli sauce, ketchup, mustard, turkey stock and a drizzle of vegetable oil. Season with a little black pepper, then add the turkey meat. Toss gently then tip everything into a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the meat is glistening.
Meanwhile make the salad. Peel the oranges and grapefruit with a sharp knife, then slice thinly. Toss with the watercress.
To serve, pile the hot turkey onto the salad and serve.

When I saw it on TV it looked delicious and I wanted to run out and make it. Will call my Mum and see if she has an Turkey left to try it out on.

full english leisurely breakfast and then a buffet day here - cold cuts - salads etc 
I never post Christmas food, even in padded envelopes.

The OH went to town with the boys and he brought it back.
Then party food this evening for the 'family night' games, food and drinks with the kids. They beat us at Beat the Parents. Twice.

Breakfast:Eggs Benedict
Lunch, (after a long bracing walk): Leftovers, bubble and squeak with cold turkey, christmas pudding ice-cream etc.
Supper: time for something completely different, a very 'soupy' king prawn and calamari laska and we were going to have amaretto peaches, but we were all too stuffed!

Along with the cold cuts and pickles - mash potato and tuna mayonaisse (daughters must have on boxing day)

have now caught up - kitchen and downstairs rooms restored to some kind of acceptance
think its time to dig into the cheese pate and crackers for lunch
and something simple for dinner later
Just had Muller Lite Greek yoghurt, banana and a SW serial bar ......................back on my diet with a vengeance today - I've been a bit' norty'

I am back to my usual nothing till dinner - I have been naughty as well -
too much fat over the last few days so am trying to get the acid under control again for the New Year nosh

My son and his partner are going over to his partners parents today (and then home on Saturday) - not sure when I'll see them again

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, home made pea and ham soup and herb scones for lunch. Haven't decided on supper yet, (either a pheasant dish or salmon en croute,) but, when my niece and her bf come back from their walk, I'm planning on hot chocolate, (made with real chocolate and frothy cream/milk,) with homemade vanilla shortbread. No wonder I'm such a fat bugga
