Judging by what I've heard and seen I'm glad the armed response team didn't hesitate.
I've not watched the News but from a few comments I've read the attack on that poor man is so sickeningly horrific to even contemplate, no words strong enough. I saw Youtube mentioned, don't know if any of the public have uploaded a video of the event, if so, anyone who watches it/them surely also has to be sick.
I found the ITV coverage really really shocking
Thanks for the warning, I won't watch, just from what I've picked up without watching the news it's just so barbaric. How his family will be able to find a way of living with this is extremely hard to imagine. To the public it's a story that will leave the screens and papers, to them it's a much loved family member lost to them forever.

So am I, Baz.
Heaven knows what the poor soldier's family are going through tonight. Their pain is unimaginable.

I agree, I find in these kind of stories the news channels go to far in getting every little bit of details they can when it's not really necessary, we get the picture let's not put the families through it

A mother-of-two described tonight how she put her own life on the line by trying to persuade the soldierâs murderers to hand over their weapons.
