thats the two tone liquid isn't it?

only non stingy stuff that guarantees no panda eyes in the morning

That's the one.  I bought the travel set (of 3) too and put them in the bathrooms for emergencies;  everyone seems to like the product so I must have converted a few along the way.

I use some of the Dermalogica products as well, Ditty;  I like the clay cleanser especially.

I got a pot of creme de la mer for Crimbo once;  it's too creamy for me sadly

There are quite a few Dermalogica products I like..   I like the precleanse stuff..    the medibac range sorted daughters spots out like nothing else ever did...   & Barrier Repair is fab for preventing & treating wind chapped skin (from walking the dog in stupid weather)...

My nan used to swear by Ponds cold cream;  is that still on the market?

Cos' one of my bf's was a beauty therapist, (who did more than okay with a no. of salons  around E Anglia.) We had a no.of conversations about if it was worth spending money on Decleor etc. She set me a challenge re what our skin would look like aged 50, sadly she died of breast cancer aged 47, never a smoker, not a big drinker etc. etc. Some of this is just down to 'luck'

I just have to say hear that up until a few years ago I never had problem skin ............ever.

The menopause hit and my skin was a nightmare - really, really bad - day in day out for over two years - I tried everything - nothing helped.

In March this year I sent for Panoxyl 10 facewash from the internet - it was harsh - but after three days - all clear - all gone UNBELIEVABLE. It wasn't expensive - I still have 2/3 a bottle left - I maybe use it once a month just to keep on top of things.

I can honestly say - I tried everything and this stuff is A MIRACLE!

It's not exactly a beauty product but if anyone is suffering with acne ................it's unbeatable IMO.

Totally agree with you, Supes.  It's more down to finding what works for you - for your specific needs (coupled with a healthy lifestyle I guess - ooops! ).  I still like Palmer's Cocoa Butter for body moisturising despite having LOADS of jars of all kinds of paraphenalia.  Mr. C buys me Madamoiselle Coco body lotion at any given chance cos he loves the smell - I wear the perfume too..... but obviously not as often as he'd like!

I think you're probably right Hoochie, my mum didn't look her age and never used anything apart from a touch of foundation and lipstick.

I think so too. I'm 56 I've never spent a lot on beauty stuff - honestly - I have hardly a wrinkle. I guess it's delayed development (see my post above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^) I've just conquered a two year battle with acne!

Do you think it was the lotion/cream, Soozy or possibly your hormones tempered down of their own accord?  What's its secret ingredient - benzol peroxide or something similar like that?

I think a lot of it is the process of applying face creams...   the few minutes you spend sweeping upwards n all that...

I also think that when I used to wear make up everyday my face was protected from the elements more than it is now (now that I am married & can't be arsed to wear make up most days )

Ditty, my daughter was manager for them for five years and left on good terms when she moved to a different area, so it's not sour grapes. She said it's a waste of money and although I can't say, you were probably wiser using it on your feet

No it was defineitely (sp bugger) the face wash I have no doubt about it - it went from full on to nothing - I used it for three days and after a rather dramatic face peel - it did contain 10% benzol peroxide which I had seen in my searches but avoided being a bit afraid. Honestly - it really was a miracle - I haven't had so much as a spot since - in fact my skin is better than ever - if I feel something bubbling beneath the surface (and believe me I'm an expert on my skin now after 2 and a half years of misery) I just use the face wash once or twice and it's sorted.

Honestly - it changed my life!

I recommend Bourjoise. I love that stuff. Ladies of a certain age *coughs* need to reflect light, not absorb it. I wear Bourjoise eyeshadows, and Illuminating touch on the cheekbones. I wear Aldi day cream which has illuminating minerals in it as well. If Bourjoise is good enough for film stars such as Kate Winslet, then it is good for me.
