Any film with Kiera Knightley in. Loved Atonement the book. Cannot bring myself to watch the film.
And as for Pride & Prejudice - KK as Lizzie Bennett? Do me a favour!!!

Be quicker ruling them out by actors/actresses.

I loved the books.
The films were self indulgent and way too long.

Oh I've thought of another one (this makes me sound like a heathen, don't care) Metropolis
I know, makes me a terrible chavvy git....but God...no...I even watched the version that they used Adam Ant and Blondie music etc as a soundtrack. Still...nothing.
Hiya Jacky, lovely to see you

Now y'see jack. You HAVE to read Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep. Then Blade Runner doean't seem so bad. xx
Titanic (James Cameron's version) - I shall explain the emotions I felt, in order, whilst watching this film using emoticons.
First Quarter -
Second Quarter -
Third Quarter - (awoken by the sight of naked Winslet) (for getting cheesy)
Fourth Quarter - (Boat Sinks)

....... And the Hurt Licker, or was it the Hurt Locket? Either way the two of 'em seemed cursed. Didn't see Avatar but the adverts/publicity suggested a load of balls.

And mine.
Titanic is utter crap. Hate it.
I was expecting a sort of history based thriller, as true to life as it could be, not a bloody romance!

Rawky - I have never watched Titanic.
On a point of principle I will not watch a film made famous by that odious caterwauling Dion woman.

Jack - Son has been explaining the cornetto thing to me in Hot Fuzz. Apparently it's a Simon Pegg/Nick Frost in joke. Shaun of the Dead had a red cornetto (zombies/blood), Hot Fuzz has a blue cornetto (police). Paul should have a green cornetto for aliens.

Mark Kermode is a god. His reviews are frequently better than the flicks themselves.

Mark Keromode is crap... he slagged off Blue Velvet.... then changed his opinion when he realised it was a cult film.
But the thing is I don't watch the POTC films for plot etc. I just watch it for Depp....
Dukes of Hazzard is on right now and can I just say a blonde Daisy Duke is so wrong.
Not seen a film yet. I am going to watch one soon though

Lol
That 'bout sums up this 8 hour pile of bilge water
Thing I struggle with is that some folk actually like them
Honestly makes the Matrix trilogy 'watchable' (just)!!
I don't like most mainstream Hollywood films, but I reserve a special loathing for anything directed by bloody Spielberg.
Apart from Speed, anything with Sandra Bollock in.....she is just AWFUL.

Croc Dundee, Wonderful Life and Titanic are three of my all time fave films. But I agree with almost all of the films people have listed. I have never taken to Pulp Fiction or the Godfather films. And taxi Driver whcich is supposed to be an awesome classic was boring IMO. And as for Star wars: I like the first three (from the 70s/early 80s,) but the newer three (Phantom Menace: Clones and Sith) were a bit lame. Sith was the best, but not brilliant. Avatar was good-ish but not brilliant, and how it managed to become the best selling film ever amazes me. Must be pure hype and commericalism. I have seen much better films that hardly broke even. Also found The Departed (which got rave reviews,) rather average and boring.

Yeah... I agree with that one! Its not funny, its predictable, and just so grim! Never watched Titanic (why bother... I know how it ends),
and Inception, all the various Vietnam films, & the Bourne Trilogy
(I loved Matrix, Avatar & Moulin Rouge. Pulp Fiction is good too)
I am not a big film watcher... so its memorable when I totally get engrossed in one and it holds my attention through to the end.
moulin rouge..pirates of the caribbean.......star wars.......harry potter

'Titanic' and that silly 'romance'. In particular that bit near the end where Winslett and her bit of rough are clinging to the stern of the ship and all around them people are plummeting to their deaths, she pipes up with 'Do you remember, Jack, this is where we first met' as if they had known each other for years instead of about 48 hours
