You just know Ducky is now sitting watching the washing machine in action
narrowing her eyes when it so much as pauses, grinning when it starts doing stuff again!

could you imagine a man phoning a help line or even looking at the instructions! Some of us would.........
Sorry Reference: Ducky
now I'm off to watch it spin
Knew it!!
I was a brilliant troubleshooter, until they took my gun licence away.
A lovely thread, showing both concern, advice and good humour.
This is typical of the lovely people who get together (and wish to stay together) on our Big Brother forum.
So glad it is sorted Ducky.

Its cos we're all frustrated plumbers!
Aww and you've just made it even lovelier Brisket.
I'm so glad I started the thread.... it honestly kept me sane this afternoon. Without it I would have being kicking the cr*p out of the machine as Ditty so eloquently put it.

I would think twice about using a syphon to empty my bowl.
Maybe even three times.

Ducky the easiest solution to this problem could have been avoided, when you remove your old washing machine leave the hoses attached to the supply but disconnect from the old washing machine, remove water feed hoses from new washing machine and attach old hoses. *runs away quick*
Essex!
I was going to say that earlier, honest.

Essex...... unfortunately the pipes weren't long enough to move the machine far enough out to do that.
I've just spent the last half an hour holding a bowl under the pipes to avoid the kitchen flooding. The waste pipe wasn't on tight enough.

My son finally managed to get it on properly by using three knives to lever it on.
I now need to wash every (sopping wet) towel that I own.

Don't forget the jubilee clip!
It's on my list of things to buy tomorrow Croc.
Always have a few just in case....
Ducky,
I missed the action but I'm here to give hugs point and laugh now...
I hope you have avoided a flooded kitchen and that your new washing machine is up to cleaning all those towels.

Aww Figtree .... I'm right with you there! You should have seen me trying to remove the polystyrene from under the machine

Hiya Van! I think it's finally all sorted. The towels are in..... only time will tell whether the pipe is now secure.
I shall keep my legs crossed for you..
aw.... can you just imagine Ducky paddling through her kitchen...
