Karms! You don't know what a punt is?!
Well, that's King College, Cambridge right? The river is the Cam. The boatey things are punts and the folk attempting to punt it are punters. A bit like gondaliers in Venice. Except the punters are all attempting to be professional in the art! The fun I had laughing at folk who ended up clinging to the punt pole as the punt drifted off into a river bank occupied many happy summer days for me!

I don't ever want to go to America... v v nearly did aged 18, thankfully the air traffic controllers strike prevented that

I am a tad surprised how many people have been on skates, and have slid down a banister.
I have the scar Brisket! GJ already knows that I roller skated into the local hairdresser's full glass window, smashing it to smitherreengs... I came off slightly better than the window 'though As for bannister sliding, I did that every day, at least three times a day for aww gawd knows how many years....sooo there's another scar, the day my dad thought it would be soo funny to shout "Goal" when i went for a pee during a world cup game! And, as for ice skating, I did all the twiirly wirly lessons....stood me in good stead for when the ddg 'Minty' and 'Rocky' from the ice hockey team paired up for the 'last dance'Reference:

I used to go skating at Richmond ice rink. Not that I could ever learn how to stop, so I used to have to crash into the side.
I once slid down the bannister coming downstairs from the bar at Queensway ice rink....with skates on.....the landing was very difficult and messy....and the crowd of people I scattered like tenpins were none too happy either.
