I like Bea, she is intelligent and articulate. If she stirs, good.
Bea's behaviour would be more acceptable, even celebrated by some here - if it was a male HM. Female HMs acting this way are frowned upon however. The disapproving attitude to Bea, reminds me of the old b+w spoof information film from Harrry Enfield.

It's Big Brother not Mastermind, intelligence and being articulate are not a pre-requisite.
Gender has nothing to do with it, seeing a devious sneering hypocritical anti-social oink is.
Very, very watchable. About the only interesting HM now that the others are trying to keep their heads down and cruise to the final.
Love her!!

Exactly!
I liked Bea's direct and forthright attitude, but that has transformed into a nasty, spiteful, manipulative attitude, which I cannot abide.

Of course its not a pre-requisite - it makes a nice change though - and I applaud it. Too often BB goes for the lowest common denominator. If you haven't noticed the gradual dumbing down of BB then Lord help you.
Also, there is a double standard here - male HMs are allowed far more leeway than female ones. A man is seen as caustic ( eg Rex last year ) whereas a woman is more often seen as a b*tch.
Oh dear. Hurricane if you look up - you'll see my points going over your head

I HATED Rex too, does that mean I'm off the hook and not being sexist against my own gender?
I love them both. What does that make me

No, I wasn't a REx fan either - but his acerbic put downs were celebrated on the forums. Would they have been if they'd come from a female HM?quote:Originally posted by JâŽÅĄÂĩ§ ÃÃą à ÂĐhÃķÃÃūÊÂŪ:quote:Originally posted by nosey rosie:quote:Originally posted by Hurricane:quote:Originally posted by nosey rosie:

Please don't use the roll-eyes smiley. It upsets me and will be disposed of accordingly >>>>>
I can't vote in your poll.
I don't like Bea very much as a person, but I think she's doing an excellent job as a housemate. She's creating drama, she's not afraid to say to people's face what she thinks.
I think I could like her outside of the house, so as you can see I'm all flummoxed as to what I think of her!

Assertive and maybe even slightly aggressive behaviour is frowned upon by some if it comes from women, but it's OK (with some,) if that behaviour comes from men.
I am thinking - maybe wrongly, but I am thinking that quite a number of the ones who dislike Bea, are probably the ones who liked Rex from BB last year. In other words, some liked Rex and his masoginistic and over bearing opinionated behaviour, but they don't care from the same behaviour from a woman. Like I said, i could be wrong, but I would wager that most of the Bea haters/dislikers are Rex fans; it's just a feeling I have ...I wonder if I am right?
Bea rocks IMO! Interesting results so far; Virtually polarised! ie 50/50
don't like her
her eyes are too close together as well

Someone who has respect and awe for gobby, opinionated, assertive and slightly aggressive people, who don't give a shit what people think about them. Wish I was like that!quote:Originally posted by Mazzystar:

Arrrgh it gets me goat!
Thank you cheeky Pixie oooh interesting theory Mind you Rex fans were generally lovely and polite ( though he was not ). They're a right conundrum!
Thanks Rosie. I could be waaaaay off of course, but it's just a feeling I have.quote:Originally posted by nosey rosie:

Hi Hoochie Seeing Makosi again made me miss her antics . I'm in the mood for a minxy BB momma to stir things up! Bea should do the job
She's brilliant.
A bitch? Yeah
Nasty? Probably
But a great housemate.... DEFINATELY!!
But no doubt that because she's not a boring, uninteresting, unopinionated nothing housemate, the special British public will be wanting her out. I bet next week it'll be the special chants of 'GET BEA OUT, GET BEA OUT, GET BEA OUT!!'

Not sure , on the one hand she is nice at times and has some interesting conversations, she's not afraid to say her opinion but on the other is a fake, two faced gameplayer she's entertaining but i'm worried about Freddie now being dragged down by her.

LOL Crunchy. How interesting though that the views on her are so polarised. I mean, if I out a poll up asking do you like Lisa or do you like Noirin, I think there would be many more who dislike them. The results are split with bea.
Maybe, just maybe.... do you think she likes Freddie Darlo? I think she likes him, but he likes her more....quote:Originally posted by darloboy07:

She only likes him as a friend but he likes her more than that. She had a late night chat with him last night about it and told him also she said that she wanted to spend more time with the others instead of being with him most of the time.

Bloody hell! a gameplayer in a game? Shoot her now!! We can't have someone being a gameplayer in a tv show that is a 'game' can we?
I think every footballer who goes into a football match and plays a game should be shot as well.
I'm liking her. ATM anyway.
LOL I have to admit, it always baffles me when people get pissed off with people being gameplayers or having a game plan... I mean, why 'wouldn't' they? It IS a game after all, as you quite rightly said.quote:Originally posted by Crunchy Nuts:quote:Originally posted by darloboy07:

I loathe her and David.
Sometimes I like her, sometimes I dislike her. At the moment I'm mainly disliking her.

A lot depends on how she treats Freddie.
Very true Fabienne. If she starts being rotten to Lord Freddie, I may be a Bea-basher meself

I have no idea what your talking about.
Shameless bump for the morning people who may not have voted.
Quick bump before I go - although a few have voted since I bumped it earlier... thank you.
Initially I was indifferent to Bea but I'm disliking her more and more as time goes on. I think she tries to be all things to all people and doesn't have the subtlty to carry it off, give the girl enough rope and she'll hang herself. Lisa stirs but has the capacity to dip beneath the radar, Bea is far too clumsy to do that.
