i have quite a dislike for the Elderberry tree - God its ugly
I love a copper beech, weeping willow and a line of poplars look marvellous

Out of that choice I voted Beech.
However my favourite tree is the Linden, or Lime as we sometimes call it. That perfume it produces-wunderbar!

Renton, I have just looked up Elderberry pictures (I forgot what they are like). I agree with you.
I am torn between Willow and Poplar.

I voted Willow...... but my favourite tree is actually the Cherry

Yep! Cherry would be my second transferable vote choice  I lurve cherries.

I voted willow, just because of the way it 'dances' in the breeze, like it's wearing a fringed flapper dress. But I love all trees, especially those that are gnarly and interesting.....And I like looking at trees and wondering to myself "if that trees was a person what kind of person would it be?"...(Bet ya wish ye'd never asked!)

I voted willow...  my aunt used to have one in her garden & me & my cousin used to use it as our den!

I like poplars too... our village has vast rows of them...   I think they used to be used to show the boundaries between different land owners... might still be true... but the do look fab.

oh... & there is a huge old oak tree in the middle of the woods... kinda on its own...  

its as if its the daddy of the woods tree!

I don't let the dog pee up that one... out of respect!

I like oak trees.  No idea why though.

I love all trees just as I love flowers - from your other quiz lol. Trees give us oxygen which in this polluted world we need. With only one choice in the vote I chose Oak, not really sure why except it's fruit the acorns help to feed the Squirrels. In our last garden we had an Oak tree in the front of house and a beautiful Willow tree in the back garden as well as many fruit trees which I loved. All trees are special

I'm sorry, I couldn't choose just one! I love all your choices. The only tree I can think of that I actually dislike is leylandii (sp).

Hubby came home the other week and told me about a fab old tree he'd seen, its called Old Knobbly, and it has its own website
