Re the parsnips - I've been to tesco and there were three bags reduced to 20p each - I just had to buy them Veggies rosti idea looks favourite for dinner tomorrow

But do you watch BB and any of it's derivatives Cupcake? 

Rexi:   Recipe for Parsnip Rosti

Mix equal amounts of grated parsnips and potatoes, squeezing out any excess water, then add sliced onion, thyme and melted butter. Season to taste.

Melt oil or butter in a frying pan. Cook spoonfuls of the mixture for about 4 minutes each side, pressing down on the backs of them with a spoon.

If you find they fall apart too easily then you could mix a beaten egg into the rosti mixture to bind it but I don't as I'm vegan

Yes I do watch BB Sprout.. because it's fascinating to see how 10 or so strangers live together 24/7 for 10 weeks or so.... but I object when even people from BB get treated like celebrities, and are all over the telly and magazines for basically doing nothing.  So yes, I watch BB, but that doesnt mean I approve of talentless nobodies becoming 'famous.' 

Me watching BB doesn't mean I'm not entitled to get pissed off with talentless nobodies on shit programmes like TOWIE getting loads of airtime and magazine coverage....   

Glad to help. I shop mainly in the early evening when stuff is reduced so I often end up with bags of veg I've bought cheap and have to use quickly.

I used to make these spicy Parsnip fritter thingies - I'll see if I have the recipe somewhere as they were yummy

I suppose quite a lot of people would echo what Sprout said, but in a serious way, if someone who watched BB etc was complaining about people who are famous for being famous.

I too used to watch BB because it is fascinating to see what happens when a group of strangers are forced to live together but I haven't watched it for a few years now as I think the sociological aspect has all but disappeared under a blanket of wannabees

I get what you're saying veggie, and it is hard to tell how people mean things when it's on a message board... However, tongue in cheek or not...  I do stand by what I say, that I think I 'can' watch BB, (which is simply a 'fly on the wall' show about a bunch of people living together,) and still be pissed off with talentless people who have done NOTHING, getting massive media coverage. 

Guess it's an agree to differ type situation.  I can't see why I can't enjoy BB and still be pissed off with the brainless morons on TOWIE and shit proggies like that.    Like I said .. agree to differ..

No I don't. That is called skipping and I used to know quite a few people who did that. But I haven't done it

I buy stuff from the supermarkets when they reduce it to about a quarter or less of it's price at about 7pm. The fruit and veg is good for a few days or you can cook it in recipes and freeze them. Reduced bread can go in the freezer straight away.
