But my post might be misconstrued as saying he was a waste of a housemate and boring because he can't run around and join in things in quite the same way as the other housemates.
You're totally spot on here
I'm glad someone else has said this as I have been feeling the same but was afraid to post it for exactly the same reasons as you - and this is coming from a disabled person.
The most interesting thing he does is snore
although to be fair to him he does help with the household chores and takes as active a part as he can with all the tasks. More than some housemates I won't mention! I also understand from his point of view how tiring moving around might be and with pain added on top he would get tired easily so would need to sit more.
but as a person I think he's naturally boring and I would suspect he was like this prior to the dreadful injuries he suffered. His whole life seems to have revolved around the army which obviously played a big part in his life. What happened to him is both dreadful but equally fascinating but once you've heard it there's nothing else left to say. He doesn't seem to want to engage actively in any of the banter for whatever reason and that's what makes him a boring housemate in my eyes
I hope no one is offended with what I've said as most of what I say these days seem to be misconstrued
