That Denise woman is really stressing out, I've got quite a few teacher mates and they've told me for years how hard a job it is, I believe them.

Mazzy - she's not doing a bad job is she? I think the kids are a bit star struck though
I never get stressed.
I got 2 compliments today from 2 yr 6s, one girl said (considering I told her off for being the toilet for 8 minutes yesterday during our singing practice) I am always hilarious. Also a boy said (he's a notorious lil shite, but think I've finally broken him!) said I was cool cos I know all the hip words!! Yeah...

Part of teaching is acting tho...no matter how crap you feel you gotta deliver the goods.I think its much harder to do that with older children. Its much easier to be cheery if at leat one of the kids is smiling at you!
Are you a teacher Mazzy?
I've just got off the phone with my best mate who's a special needs teacher, and she said Denise hasn't got a clue how hard teachiig is, it's probably the 1st time in her life she's ever done a hard days work in her life, I don't really know who Denise is, I know she's an actress and on that crappy Loose women, I don't like her either.

Hi Q!
I rarely get stressed...one of them will always make me laugh.
We were in the ICT suite one day last week and the kids were singing the Eminem song.So I joined in the chorus.Silence.Then one of the lads piped up 'Teachers shouldn't be cool'!!

I wouldn't teach in a state secondary school for all the tea in China. It looks soooo hard

I only get stressed because it's my first year as a TA and I have the lowest of the lowest sets for Literacy, Maths AND Science in yr 6. It can be very hard work.
But this week it's been 'Change School Week' and I have missed them as we are not having normal lessons.
I'm quite liking her actually ...
Oh yeah talking about ICT some boy was surprised I could spell Sean Paul....AND I knew who he was. The shock in his voice was hilarious!
awwwwQ - is that when they go to look at their 'big' school?

It can be very frustrating, but when you see a child suddenly grasp something it's the best feeling in the world. But some days its like pulling hens teeth(whatever that is!)

Yes...that's so true.
They struggle in Literacy and Maths....but they did well in their Science mocks.
I pray they did well in their real ones.
She is'nt convincing me that she has anything that she knows and wants to teach...
My memory of my 'Best' teachers were those that seemed to enjoy their subject, did'nt kid around with the class, cos they wanted to be 'the most hip, friendly, approachable' teacher..
I liked feeling that the teacher was 'in control' even if I was the one pushing them to their limits....
Respect!

That's a huge difference from yr 6 to yr 2.
Which area....just want to make sure you're not one of our teachers?

Agree Syd - I'd have liked to have seen more preparation involved - seems to me she's just plonked in front of the class without knowing too much.
She's not doing a bad job though, given that
