Pretty please! I knew we were going for a birthday celebration w/e. However yesterday I was informed that there is a pirate theme. After initial panic I've thought of a couple of things, but wondered if anyone had some experience or advice?

If you wanna do it on the cheap I'd say eye patch, home made cutlass, stripey t shirt and a scarf made into a bandana - curtain ring for an earring.

When I and my brother were very young there was a fancy dress competition for children at the local church fete, My mother made a pirate costume for my brother. Unfortunately it was too good and the judges disqualified my brother wrongly assuming that the costume had been hired.
