how about Blue winter in the Autumn/Winter and Earth for Spring/Summer 

Good suggestion, would please most of the forum by the sound of it.

A lot of people didn't like the Earth theme, me included.  It was one of the ones that I found far too bright and which really hurt my eyes.  I think there were just as many people who found that the very pale and bright themes were uncomfortable for them as there were who had problems with the darker themes.  I don't think nearly as many people have found this current theme causes them problems as most of the others.

Ted did say it would change after winter's over, if Blue Winter is chosen.

At the moment it looks like a two horse race. Blue Winter and Earth, so it would make sense then to  change to Earth in the spring , if Earth is not the initial winner.

I could see how that was Growly. As I suggested at the time , the side panels could be muted a bit to make it a bit less stark and glaring when the white of the text panels met the white of the border and if the border was  muted it would have the knock on effect of making the white text panels seem a bit less glaring too, but would still have the clarity that is appealing to so many of us.

I went for Blue Winter but Earth or any of the light ones are ok - anything but the dark ones will do, either with or without stuff at the side.
As I've said before I'd be quite happy if the bright ones were toned down slightly so they don't hurt Growly and others who find them glaring

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Ha .............they.ve changed the banner at the top of the page. The other one looked completely out of place on most of the colour choices IMO.

Blue Winter has won!  We'll stick with that through the winter then re-evaluate.  Thanks to everyone for your input!
