I couldn't immediately think of a phrase that I dislike but a sentence came to me after reading this post. It usually follows a challenge and starts..'I made a perfectly harmless remark...'

well if you read from page 1 you will see it was harmless.

I don't like it when the weather people treat the weather systems as if they had intentions. It's a very primitive way of thinking.

Management-speak is excruciating.

Football-speak is dreadful.

And I absolutely hate it when women talk sanctimoniously about 'boy's toys'. (I'm no longer a boy and, for example, my lawn mower is not a toy.)
