At the end of the day.
What? What at the end of the day, oh yeah it gets dark !!!
In the BB house I particularly hate:
Blah, Blah, blah
and
.....and stuff
Blah, Blah, blah

i do use go figure in a sarcastic way
mine is "you know what i mean" and "does that make sense" both courtesy of my brother
Oh and "to cut a long story short" cause it is always followed by a really long story that they haven't even attempted to make any shorter...if anything they have made it longer

Oh thanks, I hate that one too.
I have friends who can use it dozens of times in short period of time. I just want to keep saying "no, I don't, please elaborate".

"at the end of the day" doesn't bother me anymore, it used to tho, but "go figure" is newish to me and an import from the USA.
"seemingly"
I have a friend who's a terrible gossip and she says this constantly when she's trying to tell me stuff. I switch off.
"I'm not bothered".
OH answers every question with this then moans if he's not happy with the result
"I'm bored"
This is for my kids who have everything they want and more but never touch half of it

Yep. Along with "I don't mean to be rude..but"
"Is it hot/cold or is it me"
"Literally" when metaphorically is in the intended meaning.
Any Americanism, and particularly those accompanied by awful grammar, "My bad" being the most incredibly offensive example.

So is this site you've been privileged to use...
Go figure.
oh and "whatever"
So, you don't like Africans - you made that pretty clear in your now deleted thread.
And now you're saying you've gotta problem with Americans/American grammar....is this your 'darkside' as a 'peaceful' Muslim?

i'm fully aware that this is an american site and i'm sure some of our american friends have english phrases that they don't like, they are free to express their opinions too.

You won't like my girls then. They say that constantly with an American accent. Sometimes they just mouth it but do a big W with thier fingers

and why on earth would you think i was a muslim?
all i said was i hated that particular phrase, hijacking threads for some personal agenda is the height of bad manners.

The African thread was deleted...like I've already said. You were saying how they whinge too much about being poor etc, whereas Indians/Asians get off their backsides and get on with it...annnnnnyway, it's been deleted, so it's easy to deny any responsibility - unless the Mods resurrected it, which they won't.
Convenient eh?
You having a go about the American grammar etc, is my opinion....of which I'm entitled..OK?

I hate it when people say "you guys" - erm I'm a lady so not a guy
I also hate "man" before or after every sentence

ok lets try again...where did i say i didn't like africans? yes i started the thread and made a few points but never said i didn't like africans.
me stating that i don't like a phrase is not saying i don't like americans.
and i see you chose to ignore my question about why you think i am a muslim...

Yeah let's start again... Like I've already said, the thread has been deleted.
So to 'prove or disprove' specific words is a 'tad' difficult shall we say...
And for the record, there was no evasion about me assuming you're a muslim - hence 'etc' in my above quote. Further to this, it's my opinion.
Furthermore, deal with it.
Blue sky thinking... There's no I in team... Pretty much any of those heinous, meaningless management speak phrases. Oh and 'innit?'.
You're not giving this 110% Queenie

i don't need to prove or disprove anything to you.
i couldn't help noticing you said my muslim darker side, so that must mean in your little world that you dislike muslims?
Ones I dislike are:-
There's no I in team, blue sky thinking and thinking outside the box, you know all those business ones....
My pet hate though is "absolutely", when I hear that it makes me want to go grrrrrrrr!
