Aw shame. I'm not aware of his state of health. I quite liked him in "How To Steal a Million" with Audrey Hepburn.

Ironically I was reading about this film and Hepburn's other films today.

They were probably fighting for him. 

I did too! 

Very sad, but I too thought he died years ago.

And me! With his lifestyle he must have been strong as a horse to live to 81 !

Maybe it's connected to his Irish heritage? Eat, drink and be merry? 

Loved him in Goodbye Mr Chips and those eyes were mesmerising

Peter O'Toole was a notorious hellraiser who could have given Richard Harris a run for his money  He was boozin it up since the 1960's Cologne. 

One of my favourite actors. Turned in many memorable performances on stage and screen. If you like your comedy on the black side, then I can recommend 'The Ruling Class'.

Exactly! I was amazed he hadn't died years ago! Him and Richard Burton were an inspiration for the decadent lifestyle. 

I know. That's why I did it!  

Definitely Richard Burton! Oliver Reed, Richard Harris... Peter O'Toole was the last man standing. There'll be a mighty session in heaven tonight

I was watching Film 2013 tonight and was reminded of my favourite Peter O'Toole scene (you just knew it had to be set in a bar, right?   )
