What a disgraceful piece of so called journalism. He was there to discuss his new album ......obviously with the whole timing they were gonna bring up the marriage issue but to bring the kids into it was spiteful and hurtful.
It was pure conjecture and speculation ......................when PA wanted to adopt Harvey there were genuine reasons DY was or is hardly a hands on father.
Why speculate that Alex would even want to adopt the kids? He's Katies latest plaything/money spinner .............no way should PA have been subjected to such emotive speculation.

I think Dwight Yorke's comment about the 'onus' falling back on him, is quite telling. I get the impression that Peter would still adopt Harvey, if he could, despite the divorce.

Kay Burley is horrible, though.
I think asking the wife of Steve Wright, the Suffolk serial killer, if she thought that he wouldn't have done it, if they'd had a better sex life, was one of her worst moments.

He has always said that he would love to do that, bless him.

at the Kay Burley comment.

Ex's, even if they are the biological fathers of the kids, should not automatically be expected to get the right to 'screen' the kids mums new partners.

Cos.. from personal experience, I can tell you...  my husband is the best thing that ever happened to my kids in terms of stability & giving them a decent upbringing.  But my ex... the scumbag that he is... would never ever admit that.

In the case of Peter/Alex & the kids... yeah, I think Peter is a good dad... and whilst I understand his concerns, he knows what katie is like as a mother.... and should trust her judgement in it.

If, a new partner is bad for the kids.... then really it should be the kids mum that should be questioned... she should have their best interests at heart.

I am shuddering at every mention of Pete discussing stuff with Dwight.... Pete & Alex discussing stuff.... no, no, no....    that is Katies job.

I saw the interview on Sky but thanks Kattymieoww for adding the link. From what I've seen on tv Peter has always been sensitive about the issue of the children, maybe Kay didn't realise how much till she asked that question, but it seems she learnt from it according to the article. I simply can't imagine Alex doing anything that would make Pete have to worry about the children being taken away from him. I hope they all find a way of resolving their issues without others interfering. At least the children have male figures in their life that care about them, so much better than the men who run off and don't want to know, and yes sometimes Mothers also leave their children.

Do you really think so? I think she knew exactly what she was doing and went straight for the jugular. He was booked to talk about his album release ..................OK it was inevitable that there'd be questions about the trollop but that really and truly was below the belt IMO.

Truth is I don't know what her motives were even though I know journalists from whichever media can be pretty hard and cynical in trying to get the story they want as it keeps their career going. I also don't know if she was sincere in her apologies to Pete afterwards or not, but I think she has children so maybe once off camera she saw him as a human being rather than a news story. Maybe what I've said has come across wrong cos tbh I'd defend Pete rather than her.

Awww that's so lovely Ditty It's bloody hard raising a child when there is one (for want of a better word) dysfunctional parent. You're extremely fortunate to have found someone who can provide the stability needed. Being mum and dad full time is a bloody tough job.

I think she knew exactly what she was doing and saying.  Her apology afterwards didn't sound in the least bit sincere.

I don't understand in the first place why Peter was booked on Sky news to promote his new album ? It's certainly not news .
I think Peter ( despite what he says ) would be upset in the first place finding out his ex wife has got married 7 months after their divorce to someone she has been seeing for 5 mins . I think Katie has finally went as low as she can with this stunt & Alex has lost any fans he made on CBB.
I'm with Peter & thought he was genuinely upset in the interview but wish he would stop saying "i'm not going to talk about why we split" then doing interviews about it . I understand he has a public profile due to his work but needs to take a step back about talking about his private life .
