I watched that yesterday and was cringing at how bad she was.  I would have given up and found a nice big parking spot somewhere else.

The gap was huge. Why didn't she go in forwards?

I'll give her 10/10 for tenacity - nearly 30mins attempting that!!

Words fail me. It's one of the disciplines of driving you really need to be able to perform. A refresher course for the driver please.

 

I wonder how many drivers could do it right first time every time EC 

 

Who knows, but I would wager the number would be high. Given the amount of time the driver spent trying to park, I think this is an extreme case, hence my suggestion of a refresher course.

 

Parking the car in the space is a relatively simple task if you get your starting position correct. Unless the space is very large, driving into the space will more than likely have the rear of the car further from the curb than it needs to be and straightening of the car is made much harder. Always try to reverse in.

I always let m'dear wife park under those street situations since I would rather park somewhere safe and walk a few hundred yards. :smug:
