I feel sorry for Roux. Before the trial, he would have discussed a defence strategy with Oscar - who then went completely off piste during his testimony and screwed it all up.

I just think he's out of his depth Yogi, most experts say he's not been organised with witnesses and this is a basic rule as he had two weeks. Most of what he's put forward about the times has been disproved and most collaborate what the prosecution witnesses said..

the truth is, he can't get anyone of the experts he wanted to testify as they don't appear to want to risk their reputation - had OP stuck to one story, he could have tailored showed that the evidence fitted OPs version, but as OP has changed his story and blamed Barry for what's gone wrong, poor bloke never stood a chance - don't think this was the quick bucks case he thought it was going to be - all he had to do was raise reasonable doubt = job done, because of OP himself, he's not really been allowed to do that

when I read that on DS I inwardly groaned   poor Barry - think he needs to book one of his wine tours in the Cape region   he'll need to get tanked up after this case

I suppose it will all depend on Nel's cross...I truly think Roux struggled due to OP changing his story so many times,,,details Roux had prepared have now had to be scrapped
