Seems very curious the prosecution declined to call these two closest neighbours. Am sure Barry Roux will make much of it

given that most of the testimony seems to be of what the other saw or heard you do have to wonder why they weren't called - maybe because they're confirming OPs version?

Morning jurors!

Just read this from the Telegraph site!

Our South Africa correspondent Aislinn Laing has uncoveredsome remarkable details about Pistorius's housekeeper who was asleep in Pistorius's house on the night that he shot his girlfriend, but will not be called to give evidence:

Frank Chiziweni is understood to have slept in the domestic quarters next to Pistorius's kitchen on the ground floor of his home on a security estate outside Pretoria.

On the night Pistorius shot Steenkamp, neighbours living up to 170 metres away claimed they were woken by sounds of an argument, shots and screams then a man shouting for help.

Mr Chiziweni, the closest person by far to the events of St Valentine's Day last year after Pistorius and Steenkamp themselves, is understood to have told police he slept through the entire incident.

A policeman who arrived at the scene an hour after the shooting confirmed Mr Chiziweni had been sleeping in a room off the kitchen and was awake when they arrived.

He said the man spoke good English. “We said to him, you were here. What did you hear?” the policeman said, adding that he had replied: “No, no, no, I didn't hear anything”.

He said police had been unconvinced by his response: “We were all asking ourselves how he could not have heard anything,” he said.

Barry Roux, Pistorius's barrister, *said the defence would not be asking Mr Chiziweni to come to court to give evidence.

When we were in Corfu, my youngest son slept through the loudest, most terrifying thunder storm I have ever heard. While hubby, eldest and middle son and I were awake and worried, youngest son never stirred at all.

Maybe Frank goes into a coma sleeps like my youngest.

That would account for him staying out of sight on the night but it wouldn't prevent him for making a statement to the state or the defence later on.

whose to say he wasn't paid off - sorry but I find it hard to believe that he didn't see or hear anything - he admits he was awake when the police arrived - he may not have said anything initially out of loyalty to OP but I find it hard to accept that he wouldn't make a statement - he's Malawian isn't he so was he in the country illegally?  Was the thread of deportation enough to keep his silence?  who knows but tis all very strange

Or he might be a very heavy sleeper. It's unlikely but a possibility.

troo we'll give him the benefit of the doubt although I personally don't believe it   I think he was scared and is still too scared to give any statements because he fears OPs power

TBF, I think you are right.
