If they do lift them, he'll disappear to a country that has no legal ties with SA, and he'll never go back there again to face what he has done.

AND just to add my bit, I have no doubt in my mind that he knew exactly who he was shooting at.  I know, innocent until proven guilty and all of that, but sorry I just feel that way.

She met up with an ex that day and he said Oscar kept ringing her, I think the phone records will out the truth

Much as I agree with you Cinds and Aims, I don't think there were any serious revelations made in that programme. And the evidence offered from Reeva's ex should be regarded as shady at best.

Just to clarify, I didn't see the programme tonight, I'm just commenting on my own feelings about the case.

Sorry, missed that luv.  But that's a bit like one of those questions the jury in the first Vicky Pryce trial asked the judge. Something along the lines of 'Can I decide on the basis of evidence not presented?'.

And I agree Cinds.  He will be able to afford the best solicitors and representatives and in view of the mess the police have made forensically, he'll walk it. (Pun intended.)

From what we've been told - which could all be different at the trial - I can't atm see how it's premeditated murder, if so for what reason? She changed her plans late at night to stay with him instead of her friend so when did he plan to shoot her, and why in his apt.

There's confusion as to whether anyone heard screams, he didn't mention it in his statement. When she was in the bathroom maybe she didn't call out when shots were fired because she didn't know it was him, or maybe she was unconcious from the bullet to the head by then. There were a few things tonight that for me still make it uncertain as to whether his story's true or not.

No that was the basics of what he said in his statement.

Ah right, sorry, appos

When it all came out at the beginning (as was reported), at first it was said she had come home late to surprise him, then within hours it was said that he had gone to the balcony to get a fan to cool them down, and when he came back that is when he thought there was an intruder in the house.

However there are rumours that her head had been beaten with some sort of bat before she was shot.

It's all a mess.  I feel, like I said earlier, it's going to turn in to another media OJ circus and no justice will be done.

It is indeed Cinds. Very depressing imo. And as you say, ultimately, without even a jury system, this is already and open and shut case.

On the programme tonight the man who examined her after death said there were 3 bullet wounds, to the head, to the arm and a finger, he didn't mention injuries caused by a bat. He also confirmed that there wasn't any trace of urine in her bladder which confirmed why she'd gone to the bathroom. In his statement Pistorius said that he used a bat to break the lock of the bathroom door.

I wish the trial was earlier than June so we could find out what's true and what isn't.

I understand that to be the case too Cinds.

You could be right about that as its not a subject I've knowledge of. I remember seeing a programme about someone training to work in a mortury where they were shown how to drain blood from the body but I don't remember anything about what happens to other body fluids, as to whether what happens is a natural occurring process or what is carried out by those qualified. I assumed that the man on the programme is knowledgeable enough through his experience to know the difference between the two, but I can only speculate.

No doubt he is. However let's not forget that he's not exactly unbiased: he's employed by Pistorius's defence team, after all...

tbh I don't remember hearing on the programme that he's employed by the Defence, if I'm wrong about that then I'm wrong. This is why we shouldn't speculate until the case comes to trial because a legitimate autopsy should rely on medical science and the integrity of the person who carried it out, whether that will happen in this case who knows.

On the program they said she must have used the toilet  there was no sign of urine   anywhere else

I listened back on iPlayer, and what they said was:

"A specialist forensic pathologist, Reggie Perumal, was flown in by Oscar Pistorius's defence team to examine all the crime scene evidence and attend the autopsy."

My understanding from the show was that he didn't perform the autopsy, but was present. All the information given on the programme regarding the bullet wounds also came from him.

I don't think so. He won't need to abscond. He'll be given the benefit of the doubt. The poor lad was living in fear and Reeva was far too beautiful to have made him angry!

yep...  so everyone in the world knows he's a murdering sod, but only in SA is he applauded for it.

Don't you people watch telly? There's this cat called Abu Quatada, who they are trying to get rid of. The humorous comedian Joe Brand says that he is a lot less threatening if you refer to him as 'ave a banana. In fact she sang it. If you didn't spend so much time watching programmes about food that normal people don't eat, you'd have a better idea of what's going on out there. : nod:

I can just picture Theresa May jumping up and down in a rage...and the rest of the daily mail readers.
