Oi! Don't compare us to that SA system! You'd never see Donald Finlay QC cross examine a witness with his foot up on a chair, Nel stylee. Our judges would boot his butt!

interesting point

I don't understand what she is implying.

he gets emotional just as a break is due - she's hinting it's a cue to Barry that he's struggling

But Barry doesn't make the call for recess, so how does that help him?

think it's more to do with giving a signal that he want's to correspond with his lawyer in the break - he can't directly talk to Barry apparently but he's giving messages via his brother Carl.  Think the inference is he wants prompting because he's diverging from what Barry has prompted him.

This is Alex's tweet go and ask her

Aimee not just the breaker of white goods but calling time on the days proceedings - we did get an early day as you jinxed it

You quoted her, I was only asking a question!

I can understand him wanting some help from Roux.

I still say Nel needs a skelp on the lug!

(A virtual one, of course, as I don't want him suing me.)

So if she was meant to be hiding from a man with a gun/bat surely she would have been crouching by the side of the toilet not standing directly behind the door

I would imagine he's very busy - he's head of the Northern District of Gauteng judicial system, he teaches at a local university and he has a private practice with his wife as a solicitor - defence I believe so he can't be there every day which is a shame as he's the best analyst

well according to OP she should have been crouching by the side of the bed  he still insists remember that he didn't know at that time it was Reeva in the loo

I would say there was very little space to hide although if she hadn't been struck by the first shot (which the analysts don't think killed her) she may have stood a better chance at being able to lie flat against a wall

I put it to you . . . sound like Rumpole of the Bailey LOL

That if Reeva thought there was an intruder she may have been pressed up against the door to listen to what was happening

The state's case would make more sense, if she had been crouching in the corner.

That's a good supposition Saint and may explain why he was able to hit her with such accuracy - someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the first shot hit her right hip?

not necessarily - In his head if heard her move to the door he could have perceived it to be intruders but if the State is correct she could have moved to the door to see if he still pursuing her following a row - to be fair though the State hasn't proved they did row

Even picturing him doing that is making my blood boil. The arrogant, patronising, condescending little barrister needs taking down a peg or two. In a virtual sense, of course.
