He was in Scotland hmmm Yogi lives in Scotland and she's always defending OP - connection?
I'm not admitting anything!
What I find strange is that he must have had incredible mental and emotional strength to battle through and make a success of his sport , but suddenly he's a total , quivering wreck ,blubbing all over the place ...doesn't ring true to me
I'm watching the Sky News special about today's evidence.
But what a day?!
Culpable homicide for me so far.

I feel he must get a grip, he surely should start thinking about Reeva's family and their feelings..I'm still at the moment in the Culpable Homicide department...although I am sure he's told lies...the gun/car episode for instance. I also think he's covered up his recklessness in the house, but its not proving to me it was premeditated Baz for me

I'm still where I was when it first happened I think ....row that went wrong ....I can't get past the fact that he didn't check that Reeva was in bed with him ....or where she was .....

I don't think he will and the defence is building up the thought that he is not emotionally and psychologically able to defend himself. The way its going is that he will be declared unable to testify to anything!
I'm still where I was when it first happened I think ....row that went wrong ....I can't get past the fact that he didn't check that Reeva was in bed with him ....or where she was .....
well that's a problem...but could be explained by his recklessness and quick to grab a gun attitude, that can't be argued with. I'm reserving total judgement until Nel presents all the facts, I feel sure he's put some things in evidence so he can use them in his cross examination..if he hasn't I can not see a premeditated murder conviction Baz.
It just doesn't make sense that he would shout at the supposed intruder and that Reeva would not reply, saying it was her.

yes, I completely agree...but then all his evidence would have to be struck of and although I'm not sure could maybe be grounds for a retrial Xochi
It just doesn't make sense that he would shout at the supposed intruder and that Reeva would not reply, saying it was her.
Exactly Renton

Thats the real hole in his defence amongst many as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with a lot of what you've said but I'm not sure he can get a grip on himself. Whenever he has to relive what happened, he falls to pieces - and I think it is genuine. Whatever happened that night, I think he is struggling to cope with what he did to Reeva.
I believe he is guilty of culpable homicide, because discharging four bullets means he meant to kill whoever he thought was in the toilet, but I have not been convinced that he is guilty of the premeditated murder of Reeva.
I do think he lied about shooting the gun through the sun roof of the car but I actually believed his version of events in the restaurant.
The more I have heard of his heightened perception of crime, the more I think that his version could be true and that he freaked out, and believing Reeva was still in bed, shot at who he thought was a burglar.
For the record, Mr Yogi thinks he is as guilty as sin, but predicts Oscar won't be convicted of premeditated murder. He suggested I might be gullible (but said he meant it in a nice way). However, I pointed out that I am a much better judge of character in RL than he is.

*we pit it tu yu its tru*
we will not construe that this is from Barry Roux
Yogi - i can understand how 'he' may have 'freaked out' and didn't know who was where but surely Reeva would not have been.
Wouldn't she have been relaxed - just going to the bathroom and have reassured him that it was not an intruder??

Not for the first time I'm in agreement with my fellow Leo..on both highlighted points

If he did shout out that there were intruders in the house, surely it is possible that Reeva locked herself in the toilet to stay safe and didn't reply to Oscar for fear of said intruders finding her.
If he had shouted that there were intruders in the bathroom, then I would have expected Reeva to reply that it was her in the bathroom and not to panic.

Because I feel he has a distinct lack of defence I feel this is the way it will head South Africa has form for this

I agree with this Yogi - he meant to kill someone but not necessarily Reeva which is why I think it's culpable homicide. I still can't get past the fact that he loaded the type of bullets that are designed specifically to expand and ensure death on impact - why? If he just wanted to defend himself a normal bullet would do and he should have let off a shot to warn not shoot to kill as it appears he did

Alex Crawford also stated on a summation that apparently his testimony today is in conflict with his bail statement and it's going against him. big holes so he's doing himself no favours

I don't know why he used the bullets he did. I don't know much about guns and bullets, and I find it hard to get my head round a society where carrying guns seems to be the norm.

Most of what you posted I can think could be possible by some pure quirk of fate...but! There are still many questions to answer, like it was pitch black but he could see a pair of jeans on the floor, he can't balance yet he bent down on Reeva's side of the bed to get the gun and presumably had his hand on the bed to balance and didn't notice she was not there. Shouting in the hall and waiting to consider his options all the while she was bound to have heard is voice getting nearer and never once made a sound? Its not a slam dunk for me yet Yogi and I do believe Nel entered stuff into evidence to bring out in cross examination, its on the record in court and can be used at anytime...even though it wasn't mentioned before.
Noticeably today, Roux took us painstakingly through all the text kisses again I add kisses to all my friends by the way and once to my car mechanic by accident. He avoided the one text that maybe would have tripped OP up and that was the text where she said she was afraid of him at times...this will be brought up of that I have not doubt. I also said the first time around I heard the texts, there wasn't a great deal of romance in them, the majority were more like I would send everyday.
I don't believe there was this when eyes met across the room romance and to say he was buying a house for them after 5 week was quite frankly laughable Yogi. I definitely think they milked it to the point of it being far fetched. Still all my doubts don't prove premeditated murder Yogi

I wonder what she is referring to?

you should search OP on the shooting range on youtube Yogi...that may give you an idea of why he used the bullets
He never once stopped to think that he hadn't heard Reeva speak. If he was so traumatised by a would be burglar, surely she would be at least scared enough to shout and scream too. I'm afraid I still believe in the red mist. He can't cope with it now, but that doesn't undo it.
don't know about you, but I'm feeling its more about how he's feeling than Reeva
I think the emotion in his voice, when he speaks of his mum and Reeva, is genuine.
I've seen little, but I do kind of agree....he's genuinely feeling remorse for what he did and feeling sorry for himself: the only problem is, he's denying what he did!

he's changed quite a bit Baz...I've read his original statement, maybe fitting facts to match his story...now I'm back to I don't know again
its been merged about 4 times
I can see that Yogi...but he does seem concerned about how its affected him and I can understand that, but surely he should be considering her family more than himself, I know I surely would,
Pfffttt, he's fighting for his life and will play every trick in the book
