crime scene photo's. I struggle with one or two of these The bullet casing in the passage nowhere near the toilet door and OP's pillow on his side of the bed in a upright position...as if he wasn't asleep but actually sitting up in bed  Some graphic blood, but none of Reeva

So the state have confirmed they are going to appeal

State: judge correctly found was very poor witness. Question is whether court should have rejected his evidence

got my twitter bug again

NPA asking if court correctly looked at circumstantial evidence, OP's defences mutually destructive, plethora of defences.

The NPA wants to go directly to the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein - not a full bench of the High Court.

^ interesting

NPA asks should a court 'trawl through a plethora of defences and pick one for the accused' or rather reject his evidence.

 ·  51m 51 minutes ago

The NPA is asking whether the court 'correctly applied the principles of Dolus Eventualis to the accepted facts'.

Pistorius opposing application for leave to appeal.I thought he had no money. Is he going to legal aid,or is Roux really just that generous?

JUST IN: NPA says it has received notice from Oscar Pistorius's defence team that it will oppose its application for leave to appeal.

Pistorius lawyers to oppose leave to appeal
07 November 2014 at 16:02 by Sapa - Lawyers for paralympian Oscar Pistorius have filed papers opposing the State's application to appeal his culpable homicide conviction and sentence.

"The grounds are contained in the documents," he said.

On Tuesday, the National Prosecuting Authority announced that it had filed an application for leave to appeal Pistorius's conviction and sentence.

The appeal against his conviction was based on a question of law, spokesman Nathi Mncube said at the time.

Pistorius was jailed for five years for the culpable homicide killing of his girlfriend, law graduate and model Reeva Steenkamp. He shot her dead through the locked toilet door in his Pretoria home on February 14 last year.

In court papers the State described this sentence as "shockingly light and inappropriate".

For discharging a firearm at Tasha's restaurant in Sandton, Johannesburg, in January 2013, he was sentenced to three years in jail, suspended for five years. The sentences would run concurrently, Judge Thokozile Masipa ruled in the High Court in Pretoria on October 21.

The SABC reported that the appeal would be heard in the High Court in Pretoria on November 18.

I'd have been more surprised if the State didn't appeal - most of the legal eagles in SA are shocked at her findings and subsequent sentence - not sure if or how OP and his DT can stop the appeal???

Barry must be working for free unless of course OP has (as we think) other assets that could be sold.  He's been reported to the tax thingy over there so his charges may be being looked into and he might be doing this in the hope Uncle Arnie drops it   Who ate all the pies Oldpodge is no longer on the team as he's not being paid

I'd be surprised if Barry worked pro bono? It'll be interesting to see if the uncle will bankrupt himself on a lost cause.

Uncle Arnie is rich because he won't part with anything - see how quick he reported Roux to the tax commission for them to investigate his bill rather than just paying up and getting it off OP later

yep, I'm sure Uncle Arnie will have advised OP on the money situation..like OP frequenting  the Diamond trading area just weeks before his sentence...and the sports car that he picked out, then it was claimed he was doing Uncle a favour picking one for him  If he said it was raining I would check outside first
