I seriously think because he's rich and his family are in with the president Jacob Zuma he's safe but I think he'll always have a target on back and some nutter may just decide to meet out their own judgement

Dear Judge Masipa. Thank you for changing the law, I am a woman living in a dangerous country and despite that I was always under the impression that I wad not entitled to shoot at perceived danger. I was under the misconception that even if I encountered unwanted visitors in my own home I was legally bound to ask them to leave unless they were armed and in sight. What a huge relief to know that I can legally use lethal force to dissuade them from inflicting harm on myself or my loved ones or from helping themselves to my hard earned goods. I am also super happy that locked toilet doors and magazine racks now form part of the "threat to human life"...what a relief that I no longer have to live in constant fear of doors which as we all know pose a huge danger to us all. On behalf of all abused woman you have done them a great service and I am sure they will rest easy knowing you have their backs

Considering Masipa is supposed to be known for coming down hard on domestic abuse cases, she's folded pretty quickly on this.  The conspiracy theorists on twitter are suggesting her pension pot increased considerably recently and is in no way connected to this trial

I never had her down as corrupt but her decision has got me wondering

I definitely believe something stinks

I think most of the legal experts in SA are astounded by her judgement

the point Nel is pushing is that Pistorius’s charity involvement was not unique or exceptional, and aimed at self-promotion. BB

I believe some sportsmen do far more charitable work than is required by their sponsors, but I don't know whether that is the case with Oscar.

given his narcissistic personality (which I personally believe he has one) I'd be erring on the side of him doing stuff that only enhances his personality and all in the glare of the press
