why is the prosecution just getting the reports the day the defence witness takes the stand? I can't remember Roux having this problem, its added loads to the delays

I only found this out yesterday but the State has to produce all its evidence to the Defence but the Defence doesn't have to produce its to the State hence why we get so many adjournments - if the Defence did give its evidence too early, the State might tailor discredit their reports to get a conviction

I think it shows just how sharp Nel is, he can quickly poke holes into something in a flash

he is without doubt one of the best barristers/advocates I have ever seen - razor sharp and it's no wonder he is held in such high esteem
