LOL! Yes we do. I just don't remember mam cooking them for me as a kid (she wasn't big on tradition wasn't mam) and it's carried over to me  Therefore if I haven't had...I haven't needed

Me too. Whether it's English or Scottish. Pancakes/crumpets/crepes....it's just butter.

Though as a youngster my mum sometimes did a batch of (Scottish) pancakes and we would have them warm in a dish with golden syrup poured over them

Yum yum, at the time, but I think that'd be too sweet for me now.

No, but I used to work in Pizza One and Pancakes Two in Norwich back in the day when I was at Uni, ('cept we never called it Uni in those days, we gave it it's full title LOL)

I voted all of them except for sprouts! Pancake day is a feast with ever one of those one by one.....melted belgian seashells are good too..oh and cointreau with ice-cream .yum yum.

If I had to choose just two 'though, it'd be lemon and sugar, then golden syrup, alternatively

Might have to try that!

If the pancake is hot, the creamed coconut just melts into it...mmm

I'm going to try it...but no canderel! If it needs sugar, I'll get out my pot of caster sugar with vanilla pods that gets a shake every day!

All this talk of coconut etc? I've just thought - a really, really hot pancake with (possibly a pre warmed) Bounty inside would be good!

I'm just editing this to say ........was i the only one who read the title of this thread as Pancake roll?

I was about to ask this in Gypsies world record thread.... then thought better of it as it seems I have a reputation for taking threads OT (Don't think I didn't notice Ditty   )

At the risk of sounding stupid.....anyone wanna give me a fool proof pancake recipe?

I'm feeling adventurous, and might make them for the first time ever tomorrow! (Or I might just buy some Tesco ready made one's cos I'm a bit lazy like that )
