Maple syrup for me.
I bet you aren't surprised to see me in this thread.
i don't really like them much,I don't have a sweet tooth.
butter and raspberry jam for me
i don't do 'crepes' though.. our pancakes are thicker... probably what english people call drop scones
Maple syrup and ice cream....I ALWAYS remember as a kid going to the little chef (aka the little thief) and me and my granddads favourite were the maple syrup and ice cream pancakes on their pudding menu!! lush!
All of them! Last year a friend had a pancake party ... she'd made loads of batter and had put everything you've mentioned above in bowls on the table. She'd got four pans on the go ... we all had to cook our own pancakes, then sit down and load them up with goodies, then eat them. By the time we finished a pan would be free again, so we would repeat the process
It was a grand evening - I hope she repeats it this year
I made zazz log out so i could comment on this (mock as you may) but this is important!!! I LOVE pancakes, I usually do some savoury and then sweet for pancake day. For savoury I like cheese and spinach or creamy mushroom, followed by every sweet thing in my cupboard. My favourite sweet topping is simple lemon and sugar and a close second is chocolate sauce (melted chocolate mixed with cream).
Our German market at xmas do a fab crepe stand and they do a delicious nutella and alcohol (baileys, amaretto, brandy etc) pancake *DROOL*

My friend used to own a Dutch Pancake House in Oxford ... they used to do the most amazing pancakes - I wish it was still open
