blimey there's some idiots in the world - many of them in America

Anyway, from the good old DM

When a child smiles and flashes a couple of dimples, people usually comment on how adorable they look.

But when you are the eight-year-old daughter of a pageant mum, even the most endearing imperfection cannot be tolerated.

California mum Kerry Campbell has come under fire after admitting she injects her young daughter Britney with Botox to get rid of 'wrinkles' that appear on the girl's face when she smiles.

I read about this last week     I personally have always found these children's pageants a bit sickening.

To find out this woman is actually British but living over there - I'd have thought she'd have had more sense.  In certain states in America it's a rite of passage but we in Europe don't do them and this woman is taking it too far and personally I would consider it child abuse.

I think the mother would be better off accepting her child is no stunner and leave it at that.

No, it would be honest.

Things like this make me SO angry.  I really hate the sexualisation of little children like this; I think it's obscene to cake little girls in makeup and dress them like mini hookers.  Waxing legs at that age is just horrible, but botox goes way beyond anything I've heard of before.

Abuse!!!!

What on earth does the mother see, her own wrinkles when looking at her daughter?  Children DONT have wrinkles! OMG

You hear of mothers pushing their children into things they wanted to do but didnt, but this is taking it to the extreme. Unbelievable.

Just when you think you have heard of everything. Along comes another 'nornna  (short for bananna) in charge of a child.

Most adults wouldn't risk botox, some do their choice and that's not a problem imo. This is a child,a young child,I doubt very much if the mum were to take her to a salon to have it done the'd oblige, instead she injects her child with botox she obtains from a behind the scenes doctor.

Was thinking that too, the mother must have lied to get it, which makes it worse. Although i dont know US laws, but i watch Judge Judy and she would go mental ! I dont mean that in a trivial way. There should be serious laws against this abuse...

Awful!

There was a woman on telly recently, who gave her seven year old a voucher for a boob job, for when she was 18. Stupid, stupid woman!

She also does Botox at home, with her step daughters, who were older, but it seems it is legal to buy Botox and DIY.

There was another programme, where the presenter bought some over the internet, and fillers, and had it tested. It was a load of shite and people are buying it and injecting themselves.
