The 52-year-old TV personality, who first shot to fame after his appearance on Channel 4 reality show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, sported newly-dyed hair and a sharp new style as he posed on the red carpet.
My Big Fat Gypsy Makeover: Paddy Doherty showed off his new look at last night's TV Choice Awards
Taking to the bottle: Paddy's salt and pepper grey hair has been replaced by a new dark brown look
Paddy's appearance was in sharp contrast to the way he looked as he left the Celebrity Big Brother house last week.
Gone was his grey hair and scruffy jeans, replaced by a dark brown 'do and a smart black suit.
Paddy, who has been married to his wife Roseanne for the past 34 years, also appeared to have had a fake tan, displaying bronzed skin while posing at the awards, held at London's Savoy Hotel.
Fighting talk: Celebrity Big Brother winner Paddy looked in good spirits as he posed up for photographers
What's going on? Paddy looks slightly unsure as he's approached by TOWIE stars Harry Derbidge and Chloe Sims
Paddy has earned himself legions of new fans after his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, but admitted after winning the show that he hadn't expected to do so well.
He told host Brian Dowling: 'No way did I think I would get this far.'
Born into generations of travellers, the TV personality said he had been a 'fish out of water' in the Big Brother house but said his response had been to be 'myself'.
Victory: Paddy as he was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother last week
He added: 'I am me, and that's it. I'm not used to mixing in that way. Then all of a sudden you are like a fish out of water, you have got to be yourself.'
And, after leaving the house, Paddy said he had been worried about how the rest of his community would deal with him taking part in the programme.
He said: 'I have a name like a racehorse in my territory. If it had gone downhill it would have opened doors to people screwing with me and my family.
'Where I come from your name carried you for years and back in the day my name was a big thing. Going in could have caused me problems.
'I was worried people would see me on the show and think I was a clown. When I had to dress up as a dog for one task I thought people would laugh at me.'
Hes a fine figure of a man, but he looked better with a wee bit o grey
Thanks for the pics and update erinp. I agree with Gypsie, he looked better with the greying temples.
Agrees with Gypsie and Rosie, he looked better with a bit of grey.
Much better grey. Don't sell out, Paddy!
Hope he goes on to good things.
Brad Pitt has reportedly expressed interest in making a movie about Celebrity Big Brother winner Paddy Doherty.
The former bare-knuckle fighter rose to fame on Channel 4's Big Fat Gypsy Weddings series, and went on to win Big Brother earlier this month. According to The Sun, Pitt is keen to make the film with his production company Plan B.
"He's fascinated by gypsy traditions and is seriously considering making a movie about Paddy's life," a source told the paper. "He finds it incredible this guy from a closed, secretive community, who was a bare-knuckle fighter, could win a TV show like Celebrity Big Brother.
"Paddy's been an underdog most of his life and has now gone on to fame and fortune. Brad loves that sort of story and wants to meet Paddy because he knows he'll have amazing tales to tell."
The insider continued: "Brad's eager to talk to him about how tough his background was and to tell his story with the backdrop of the culture he lives in.
"Big Fat Gypsy Weddings is Brad's favourite thing to watch. The travelling community has a bad reputation but Brad respects their morals, like marrying for life and keeping their kids away from casual sex and drink and drugs."
Pitt is said to be "convinced" that Doherty's story would prove a "huge success" at the box office. "People love a rags-to-riches story," the source added.
Thanks erinp
I could well believe it. Didn't Brad Pitt once play a traveller boxer in a Guy Ritchie film? Snatch I think it was called. Brad had an accent even more undecipherable than Paddy in it
