I think it's always been manipulated but yes, it's even easier now.

Our perspective is extremely limited because of such limited viewing time. We could all be so wrong about some HM's or situations in there, but that's how BB engineer the show
I know and that's why I seem to prefer to believe the housemates more than what I watch...therefore I like Sophie because she seems to be doing fine with everyone, even Hira seems harmless according to them.
The only person I can't work out is Bea...I don't trust what we are shown nowadays.

They have always been far out with what the viewers think.
The main difference though is that the new house is easier to shield from eviction night chants than the old one.
Just an example though BB8 thought Laura would be loved and win in the earlier weeks. Later on they thought Tracey.
BB9 thought that Rachel was a liar and boring and would never win.
