Re: The password problem:-
I was unable to log-in last night initially, however after thinking about it for a while, I tried my password without capitals...and it logged me in. Therefore, in the change over your system changed my password, even though Dave said it shouldn't do that.

Just hsd a further thought about the password.
When i logged into the temporary home my password was all small letters, when i then registered here I used the same password but made some of the letters capitals.
Has maybee the system not changed my password, as such, but transferred the 'Groupee' version instead of the 'GaGa' version?

Yes, that is exactly right.

If you were previously registered on the Groupee system (now LiveCloud) your Groupee password will take precedence when the two accounts are merged.

So, I've had to ask for help with people who are suffering from the "email verification" issue. Hoping we can get that squared away soon.

Twee Surgeon, I see that there are some bands named Twee (or with Twee in their names), but I have NO idea why it wouldn't let you choose Twee Surgeon. I'll ask, though! *wishes she were more technical*

Usernames on LiveCloud are all lowercase, since they are used to derive your personal area identifier (yours is twee.hoo.do). That's also why Twee Surgeon isn't allowed, since there is a space.

You can set that to your Display Name, however, which is what people see when you post. Your display name is set to Mary Kelly for now. You can change that in your profile, if you'd like.

Can you help me with my avatar thought it would move over in the change but alas im no good with changes i feel naked without my avatar .....

Firstly let me thank you for your's and Lori's kind replies to my post. In my defence, I made the post at 1.39am British Summer Time, which is the equivalent of your night time in America depending on your geographical area. I was quite tired when I made the post and I should have left it until today to ask my questions. Secondly, I am old and grey dyed blonde and not computer literate. I fear change when I don't understand things. But thank you both for your kind replies, replies that made me feel less stupid than I would otherwise feel.

That explanation out of the way, the lower case use is self-explanatory. The spacing between Twee and Surgeon also now makes sense, and I could still have the full name provided I left out the space. So far so good ...

When you change over, I presume that the log-in screen will be different to today, and I will use the e-mail I registered with on Live Cloud last night. When I registered last night it would not allow me to use the existing name e-mail so I had to use one of my other e-mail addresses on AOL. I take it then that I use the new e-mail address on change over, to allow me full access to Live Cloud. Am I correct in this assumption?

I didn't realise that my name Mary Kelly would be the one that would appear on the forum, I thought it would be twee. Oh dear! What can I say?

I think at this point it would be appropriate for me to slink away and await your reply.

Go back to your settings and just reset Mary Kelly to Twee Surgeon. ID name and display name can be different. Hope this helps.
