I don't know lal. I get them on my right wrist and top of that hand. The slightest scratch causes them in me. I'm on a lot of medication, so always thought it was them causing it. I've asked the nurse a couple of times, but she always says check with my consultant. And then I never have any when I actually go to see him. I wonder if it's something to do with the skin getting thinner as we get older. But the best thing to do is mention it to the doctor next time you see him.

I couldn't believe how painful it was...and now I have a HUGE bruise and it still hurts...getting to see my dr is near on impossible so that is why I posted...always helps to hear others stories...

...sorry if my reply was harsh but I was a bit worried, and know the FM's on here can be very helpful and reassuring I know you wasn't just having a pop at me.. 
To be fair lal, mine don't actually hurt, so may not be the same as yours.
They just appear if I scratch myself, or knock the area.
Perhaps, if you can't get to a doctor, NHS online or the phone thingy can advise you?
