Huge hugs Its nearly a year since my cat died, i was brokenhearted. Just cry and get it out. I did loads of things with my children in her memory and it comforted them and me. When your ready you may want to do this. We have happy memories now.

Aww Madamski. I'm so sorry, it's horrible losing pets. 18 years was a good innings though, he must have led a very contented life.

how heartbreaking for you, I totally understand how you are feeling at the moment, it took me ages to "get over" losing barney suddenly at a similar age - it was almost 2 years ago and i still dont think i am over it, you just learn how to cope
obviously you are still grieving, give yourself that time and just cry when you feel the need to
i went to the garden centre and bought a few plants with names that were related to barney, and i have planted them in the garden, i still go there now when I am feeling his loss - perhaps this may help you?

Aww I've only had small pets,hamsters ,budgies.MY Elwood died on Friday and I buried him in ther garden.You still feel their loss no matter their age or size.
My two rabbits are bigger pets obviously,but even they are lucky if they live to 9 or 10.
