yeah the stuff I do has been glazed once and I paint over the glaze and fire it again, sometime several times as not all colours fire at the same temprature,
its all very experimental at the moment, sometimes it works...most times it doesnt Big Grin

Are the colours different than what you painted after the firing? I've often wondered how this process works.

oops, sorry didnt mean to run off on ya, but I got sidetracked,

erm...some, nah most colours change durring the firing process, some quite dull looking colours come alive when fired, reds are a swine, the problem with it is its not an exact science, there is lots of trail and error involved with it, just when ya think you have it right.... it changes, ya might have put slight more on or less on than last time, the temprature might not have been quite the same or the time length might have been different, glazes from one supplier might not be same as from another, one persons "ruby red" aint the same as another persons,....in short...its a pain,
I paint em shove em in...if they come out ok, great, if not, bin em, move on, Big Grin
