I have a beta of it, and it's actually pretty good. Think Vista without the bugs.

dont even know what is what about stuff like that use computers in work all day but that is it

I've got the beta on one of my computers & my kids are navigating it easier than anything else.

I've heard good things about it, it's can only be better than Vista, I'm running Xp on all my computers now,

i bought this comp a month or so ago, i was told by PC world that i could change from vista to 7 for free, now whether that is true or not remains to be seen, but i shall get it anyway because i just cant get on with vista.

I don't think so; I got a laptop with Vista on it a few months ago.

But yes, I've heard good things about WIndows 7

did you get that in writing? Because as far I as know they are allowing cheap upgrades from Vista to 7 not free. But then PC World might have an agreement with Microsoft.

i havent checked the paper work, my daughter bought a new laptop 2 weeks ago and they told her the same.

go back look at the computers like you are going to buy & ask the same question. If they say again that it is a free upgrade whip out the receipt & ask them to put it in writing.

I really need a new laptop, but refuse to buy one until Vista has been replaced. I've just been looking on Dell and they are also offering free upgrades on machines bought now. But I think I'll wait - I don't want to bother with Vista even for a few months until Windows 7 comes out. I've heard nothing good about Vista
