It pays to have the right tools if you know you're going to get lots of use from them

It took me a while to get my blue twirlies and I am proud of them
Unfortunately, I have had to stow them away as they are of no use on here

I had one twirly mostly from posting crap on OT
sod all on here .... but when the C4 forum closed, I had a twirly & was well on my way to the double twirly .... but I always prefered the single twirly tbh.
Having the one twirlie makes you a bit lop-sided

Hanging from my ears, so I would have a permanent head tilt if I just had the one

I had one twirly (called Oakiuk!) and about 28000 posts earned from BB7 onwards but mostly in the games forum when they banned me.
There was a noticeable minority who used the games forum to get their post count high and, imo, they ruined what was a fun, relaxing and entertaining forum by spamming it with loads of counting threads that required no thought at all.
But people like Marg and I as well as Lemonie, Annie Hall, BB Meg etc just liked the games and fms there - the post count was incidental.
As to your OP, Spider, makes no odds to me if we have them here or not

I used to like posting in the games forum when I first joined, but then when I got my twirly I was accused of getting it by posting in the games forum Firstly, that wasn't the case as I posted elsewhere too and secondly, what on earth has it got to do with other people how you got your twirlies. Some people have way too much time on their hands worrying and moaning about other posters

I agree with you LL, I didn't care what peoples post count was or how they got it.
My point was just that in the end the games forum was just loads and loads of counting threads which made it difficult to play the normal quiz games etc as they got lost in all the dross.
The fms who used them, btw, were all really nice people, it was just a bit frustrating at times - and I think that is the downside of a Karma Level system.
Not that it matters to me whether we have one as I've said
