I had a phone call tonight from one of the ladies who took a couple of the Daphlets from us last year. Both dogs have turned into quite nervous animals and while the bitch shows this as being timid, the dog displays aggressive behaviour. He is fine with the family but after a couple of incidents with strangers the family no longer feel they can keep him. I know she has tried everything she can to sort his problems out but I think he needs much stronger handling and training than she is able to offer. The RSPCA have said that they won't be able to take him for 6 months. She is very upset about it but has come to the decision that he will have to be put to sleep unless they can come up with a viable option. Perhaps police training or something like that. He is a spanador, 9 months old, medium sized, quite clever and has a good loving nature with the family although he is nervous and aggressive around strangers so he shouldn't be re-homed with a family. I said we'll do all we can to come up with some ideas so I need your help. If anyone knows of any rescue centres or training schemes around the Peak District I would be really grateful for any contacts you could let me have.

this lady is in surrey, but she has traveled (or gets others to travel) to places further afield. even ireland! i dont know her personally..but she is a member of a rat forum i go on and she is truely amazing and inspirational. the dogs she has helped seemed to have no bloody hope at all and she takes them on regardless and they turn full circle....most of the dogs she takes on have behavioural problems (it seems). she saved many a dog from death row. she may not be able to help but it's worth a call at least Hug
