...I'll be on my way to Salou I'm a bit like a kid at Christmas at the minute! I think I'm even more excited than my kids but I haven't been abroad in 5 years. Anyone been there before and have any tips on where to go or more importantly where to avoid? We chose Salou for the kids because it has the theme park and are staying in Cap Salou.

Aww I've never been there Ella, but have a lovely time - could sure do with some sun myself!
Thanks liverbird, it's been a miserable summer so hopefully the sun is out in Salou although I see thunderstorms forecast for this week

Thunderstorms in the Mediterranean are always ACE!!!
But thunder is scary!! Hope they have a big enough table for me to fit under
Thunder's just sound, its the lightning you have to worry about
Make sure you get some good photos of the lightning strikes

I helped. yay!
My brother went there this year, seemed to have a good time.... went to the theme park too
I`ve been to Salou Ella. The beaches are beautiful. Lots of things for the kids to do. The water parks are fabulous. It`s expensive though, so go to the side streets behind the main drag for the bargains..food, wine, cafes, clothes, gifts etc. Its half the price.
Have a lovely holiday Ella.
