My friend from my previous place of work won 2.3 million on the Lottery last weekend! She's a fabulous girl and she's been engaged to her fiancee for 12 years they can now get married and have a worry-free life.. am totally made up for her! Of course there's a part of me thinking 'damn yoooou' but generally i am happy for her.. yeah.. dead happy

That's just wonderful ....I worked with a girl who won ÂĢ163,00.00 - it completely changed her life. Just imagine what 2.3 million could do!
That is fantastic
Don't suppose I could have their address?

aww that's fabtastic
My office junior from a few years ago won ÂĢ60-odd grand on the lottery. We were chuffed for her... until she said to someone who'd bought her a packet of crisps at the shop 'I gave you 30p for those, weren't they only 28p?' and held out her hand for the change.

OMG what a tight hole - bet she never touched a penny of it either

That reminds me of a woman who told us about her daughter getting her first wage. She bought her mum a packet of crisps, but deducted the cost of the crisps before handing over her dig money.

I think she and her fiance bought a house - it was great for her, she was only 17, but a very 'old' 17 if you know what I mean. Come to think of it, she didn't even buy a round of cream cakes - and she moaned like hell cos if they'd won the previous week they'd have got more than ÂĢ100k.

When does 'sensible' turn into being 'tightfisted ' eh?

When we call my hubby tightfisted, he calls it "being frugal".
