I have an account which came with the phone. Someone bought me one of those preloaded cards which I have redeemed. Yet when I try to download something it seems to want me to pay with my credit card account. I can see the ÂĢ15 at thge top but it is faint and I have no idea how to use it. Please! Do any of you have any experience with it?

If you've been given a ÂĢ15 gift voucher for iTunes, I assume that's what you mean, you must first set up an account on iStore and yes as part of the registration process you must give valid credit card details. Once you're a member you can type in the gift voucher serial number and your account will then have ÂĢ15 credit which you can spend in the iStore. If you exceed ÂĢ15 then the rest goes to your credit card at the end of the month.
OK so whilst we're on the topic I've downloaded some podcasts onto I tunes but cano get them onto my iphone....in fact I can't get bugger all on my iphone from itunes only the other way round....HELP1!

That's where I went wrong ... my kids were always too busy to help ... in the end I gave one of them my ipod coz I cba with it ... funnily enought they got it to work ok
