My OH did that once. I was asleep in bed and he said he came back up into the bedroom, expecting a load of "Oh, poor you, are you OK, etc.."

But I just carried on zzzzzing, so he stood there for a minute or two, then went away to sulk! Big Grin
Should have seen his bum next day - like a packet of wine gums Eeker

my daughter was in bed and she said she heard a bang and me go ouch, but she turned over and went back to sleep till i shouted her Mad

if pos soak in a hot bath, it eases the pain, plus you feel better after.

I wouldn't recommend a hot bath as if you have hurt your back, you feel lovely and warm and relaxed, then you have to get out of the bath and Aaarrrrrrggghhhhh your back goes into spasm and you're stuck and even greater agony than when you hurt yourself. Eeker
Been there, done that, couldn't get my knickers on to get to the doctors after I had managed to get out of the bath (after a struggle of half an hour).
The lesson is......have a hot shower instead.

Have you ever tried Rescue Remedy, Aimee.
It's supposedly good for when you're a bit shaken up (it's a natural remedy btw), and arnica is good for bruising as it takes away a lot of the discolouring and helps the healing process.

Keep an eye on that swelling too! Hug

It could be bruised tissue....but if it gives you too much gyp, then I suggest a visit to the doc.

I know someone who did the flip flop down the stairs thing and fractured their ankle. Maybe an x-ray might be needed for reassurance.

the swelling has gone down, its just bruised, i've been walking on it and had a cold compress on as well, but i will go for an x-ray if the bruising gets any worse, thanks Thumbs Up

have a couple of nurophen before you go to bed, will help take down the swelling and hopefuly you won't wake up every time you turn in your sleep.
