customer sevice from Tiscali but at last today have got new account else where and everything is working. but could harldy get on here all dam summer, so what with that and no live feed its been quite dismal!!

Hello stranger - nice to see you around.
It's funny you should mention Tiscali. My younger son (who no longer lives here) set up and pays for the internet for me and we have always had Tiscali with no problems.
But over the last few months it has been dreadful, cutting out all the time and countless other problems. I have since found out that they have been taken over by Talk Talk so I'm not surprised that the service is now non existent.
We are waiting to get moved so I will stick with it for the time being but I won't use them when we are setting up in a new place

the problems you mentioned are the same I have had, plus more, but the service is so so bad. they sent a guy to my house who was very very passive aggrsive trying to force me to sign to say i would pay ÂĢ70 plus, I refused and in the end told hem to call the police, there was no way i was going to sign any thing.. he told me the fault was my router and said the make is rubbish or words to that aeefect.. i told him it was the pot calling the kettle black and nothing is worse than Tiscali. I had to buy my own router a year ago when i got a new PC, as the one they sent would not work and the next one they said they would send enever arrived!!quote:Originally posted by Veggieburger:

I asked him for ID, he said he had none, I asked him for his surname, he refused, I asked for his companies name (they are sub contracted by Tiscali) he refused, so i told him to leave!!
I later proved it was not my router; they promised me the earth and different account so wnt for that but it got owrse, then tangle of who was delivering the line, on and on.. its cost me fortune in things I had purchased to go to, but could not down load passes ;tickest ect, had to go to an internet cafe and scrounge round friends!! tell ya I could write abook but to tired!! good luck with your move
